Marco Bani

Ph.D., actually Head of Technical Secretariat and Public relations Office at AgID (Agency for Digital Italy), a government agency in charge to foster innovation and digital processes, specially in public administration.
He served as Private Secretary to the Minister of Education, University and Research in Italy, obtaining insights into the executive branch of government, where he participated in the core of public policy making. On the academic side, he has developed collaborations with MIT and King's College of London which he has drawn on in the PhD in "Politics, Human Rights and Sustainability " at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, (Pisa, Italy), researching on the improvement of democracy using technologies and new media. He holds a MA degree in Humanities Computing (University of Pisa, Italy, 2008), and his collaboration with King's College of London started at CCH (Centre for Computing in the Humanities), firstly as Assistant Lecturer, later as Research Fellow at King's Visualization Lab, focused in the research of technology and humanities. In addition to that, his period as visiting student at the Center for Civic Media, MIT Media Lab, allowed him to work on cutting-edge and antidisciplinary methodologies.
